UPI verification

Check whether a UPI ID format looks suspicious before you pay

This checker is intentionally light: it helps you catch obvious format problems and urgency-style naming tricks before you approve a UPI request or trust a buyer, seller, or refund story.

Important

A valid-looking UPI ID can still belong to a scammer. The app flow, story, and pressure matter too.

Best next step

If the case is active, use the UPI fraud checker or emergency help instead of relying on format alone.

Run a quick UPI ID check

Paste only the UPI ID. Do not paste OTP, PIN, bank balance, or card details.

What this catches

Format and naming red flags

  • Broken format such as missing the @ handle part.
  • Suspicious support-style words used to create fake legitimacy.
  • Long digit-heavy IDs that deserve slower verification.
What this cannot prove

A clean format is not equal to a safe payment

  • A scammer can still use a normal-looking UPI ID.
  • The buyer, refund, or support story may still be fake.
  • You still need to verify inside your own app and trust only the official route.
